The build up to A Level results day can be a very stressful and worrying time but don't worry, we've got all the information you need to help you understand what will happen on the day and how the Clearing system works if you'll need it.
On Results Day you can log in to your account on UCAS Hub to check your status. If you’ve been accepted at your Firm Choice, you’ll see a message saying that your place with them is confirmed. If you haven't been accepted at your Firm Choice, but have been accepted at your Insurance Choice you will see this message on your UCAS account.
Don’t worry! If you didn’t get the grades you were hoping for and didn’t manage to get into your Firm or Insurance Choice, you’ll be automatically placed into Clearing. When you log in to your UCAS account, you’ll see that you’re in Clearing and you’ll be able to add a university as your 'Clearing Choice’. Don’t select a university as your Clearing Choice before speaking to the university first.
Once you’re in Clearing, you can contact universities (usually on their Clearing Helpline or Live Chat) to ask about available places on courses. The UCAS website will have a list of all universities with Clearing places. Individual universities will also have information about courses available through  Clearing  on their own websites. ³Ô¹ÏȺÖÚ Clearing information will be available on our website from June.
Before you get in touch with universities, make sure you have your UCAS personal ID number, Clearing number, course codes, email address and phone number to hand. You’ll also be asked to provide you’re A level results, or equivalent qualifications such as BTECs, as well as any relevant GCSE results.
If a university offers you a place through Clearing, you can accept that offer by selecting that university as your Clearing Choice on UCAS. You can contact as many universities as you like to ask about places on courses, but you can only accept  one  Clearing offer.
