We look forward to welcoming you to ³Ô¹ÏȺÖÚ and have put in place an orientation programme which will enable you to get to know the University, meet staff, and other students.

It is very important that you check your ³Ô¹ÏȺÖÚ email address when this is set up, as all information regarding arrivals, welcome and registration, as well as information from your academic School during your time at the University will be sent to that email.

We have organised a Welcome Session to all new students who arrive to ³Ô¹ÏȺÖÚ after Welcome Week so you can get all the important information about visas, registering with the doctors, opening bank accounts, etc.

Useful Information

Please fill in the Online Enrolment Form that you should have had sent to your personal email before going to Registration. This will allow you to get your University ID and password. A few computers will be available at Registration when you arrive but do it beforehand if possible. If you haven’t received the registration email, please contact registration@bangor.ac.uk

Please bring your: Passport; Visa letter (to collect your BRP), Financial Sponsor documents if applicable, previous certificates and Student ID number to hand.

The card will be available at the registration events – as long as you have completed your online enrolment in advance from outside the UK. If you complete the online enrolment after arrival, the card will be available soon.

The ID and password for your Wi-Fi connection should have been provided to you after the online enrolment. Please use the following format as your Wi-Fi ID: username@bangor.ac.uk (example: afp24@bangor.ac.uk).

Free SIM cards are available from the International Student Support Office (Rathbone, College Road, LL57 2DG).

Whilst the International Support team is here to help you with Welfare and Visa issues, we also host an annual programme of trips and social events. Welcome week is just a taster of these. Come along to our trips and events and that is where you will make friends have fun and get the chance to win a Dragon!
