Dragon Boat Festival Celebration

Students, staff, and friends joined us on 23rd June to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival, also known as ‘Duanwu’ in Mandarin Chinese and observed every fifth day of the fifth lunar month. A prominent part of celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival is making and eating zongzi, also known as sticky rice dumplings. Everyone had a great time learning how to make an authentic zongzi by wrapping glutinous rice and fillings in bamboo leaves, forming a pyramid shape.
Happy Dragon Boat Festival!
